MyHawthorne311 is designed to provide residents, businesses and visitors the opportunity to report issues, ask questions, and monitor resolutions from anywhere, 24/7 365 days a year. Now, when you see a problem around town, simply open the app, select an issue, take a picture, and tap submit – the app sends the issue directly to City staff. You will also be able to track the status of your requests online and through the mobile app.

Please be advised: MyHawthorne311 is not to be used for emergencies. For urgent matters, that require immediate attention or a police response, call 9-1-1.

Can I have a copy of my service request sent to my email address?
Yes. When submitting a service request, if you provide your email address on the Contact Info screen, you will receive an email notification for that request when it opens and when it gets closed or cancelled
Can I submit a service request anonymously?
Most service request types can be entered anonymously by leaving the Contact Info fields blank while creating your request. However, if we need more information and have no way to contact you, the request may be canceled (not completed). Some request types require contact information to be provided in order to comply with laws or rules in place regarding those services. Contact info fields are indicated as “required” for those request types.
Can I upload videos?
Videos are not supported.
Do I need to include a photo when submitting a service request?
Adding a photo is optional.
How do I go back to the beginning?
On the web portal, you can: 1) cancel your request, 2) click on Portal Home, or 3) click on the browser’s back button.

On the MyHawthorne311 mobile app you can click on the back arrow at the upper left. If you chose to go back to a previous page, no details from the current page are saved.
Is there a limit to the number of service requests that I can enter?
There is not a limit on the number of service requests entered. However, the system may prompt you that someone else has already reported a similar issue at the same location.
What if I have multiple request, can I make them all at once?
Each request should be made with a separate submission. This allows the individual request to be routed and tracked appropriately.
What if my request is different than any of the options listed?
If your request does not fall into one of the predetermined request types, please use the “Miscellaneous” option. Be sure to clearly explain your request in the Description (web portal) or Note (MyHaw311 app) field.

Who sees my requests?
All information entered on the web portal or MyHawthorne311 mobile app is visible to City Staff. Your ticket and the specific details will not be visible to the public. This information is not shared, is kept confidential, and is intended for the sole and exclusive use by the City of Hawthorne staff for follow-up purposes.
