Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Advisory Committee

The Los Angeles Area Advisory Committee was established by the Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners and approved by the Los Angeles City Council in 1975. The committee reviews airport operations issues that impact their communities and makes recommendations to the Commission, Mayor's Office, City Council and other appropriate agencies.

The 19-member committee is comprised of representatives appointed by elected officials from communities surrounding LAX, including Culver City, El Segundo, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Lennox, Marina del Rey and Westchester/Playa del Rey.

  • Qualifications: Must be residents of the area - seven areas are represented, must be interested in the airport
  • Meeting Dates: 2nd Thursday of the month
  • Time: 7:00 p.m.
  • Location: Samuel Greenberg Board Room in the Clifton A. Moore Administration Building at Los Angeles International Airport #1 World Way, Los Angeles, CA 90045
  • Term: Indefinite

Los Angeles County Library Council Advisory Board

The Los Angeles County Library Council Advisory Board helps libraries meet local needs.

  • Qualifications: Concern, interest and understanding of public library needs and active involvement in various community activities. Ability to communicate the value of library service to community leaders and citizens.
  • Meeting Dates: Meets quarterly in southwest area. Meeting dates are posted at the library
  • Term: Indefinite

Public Financing Authority

  • Members: Identical to City Council
  • Meeting Dates: Semi-annual at the first meeting of January and July of each calendar year
