On December 7, 2022, the City of Hawthorne hosted the long-awaited Homeless Services Center ribbon-cutting event.

City Council members, local and state officials, community leaders, and partners were on hand to join the festivities. Senator Bradford presented Hawthorne with a Certificate of Recognition for Hawthorne’s Homeless Coordination Program.

The event was a coordinated effort by city staff.  Each spoke of the efforts that have addressed the homeless issues and how the center would be a designated place to receive services for the unhoused citizens of Hawthorne.
