The City of Hawthorne hosted the 2nd annual Touch a Truck event in the parking lot of the Betty Ainsworth Sports Center. Over 20 vehicles including Hawthorne Police vehicles, city maintenance trucks, fire truck, the Oscar Meyer truck and many others were available for children and families to jump in and see up close. Along with the trucks, many activities and books were available to promote literacy.
