The City of Hawthorne held a Groundbreaking Ceremony to celebrate the renovation and redesign of the Hawthorne Senior Center. The project that will cost $5.5 million dollars received the funding from the State of CA by Assemblymember Tina McKinnor's office. 

This big project will convert the existing building into a two story building with an elevator (making it ADA accessible), a sewing room, activities room, dance studio, community garden and many other additional amenities. Expected completion date is by Fall 2025.
