The City of Hawthorne celebrated another Capital Improvement Project, totaling over 40 projects throughout the City. 

The groundbreaking ceremony for the New City Yard was held on August 13th. Councilmembers, City Staff and residents all gathered to celebrate the start of the new building coming to the site behind the Betty Ainsworth Sports Center.

The new two-story building will feature fuel-pumping station for city vehicles, mechanic station, wash down bays, radio tower and drone pad on the roof, offices, training rooms and lots more!
