The City of Hawthorne Public Works Department held the Alley Improvement Project Groundbreaking Ceremony on February 27th at the Alley Way next to Menlo Ave. 

Public Works will be excavating about 24,000 square feet of existing pavement and replace it with new concrete. This alley improvement will also improve driveways to improve safety and comply with ADA standards and is fully funded through the Community Development Block Grant Program. Project is expected to be completed by the beginning of Summer 2024.
