The First Annual Mother's day Luncheon was held May 6, 2023 at the Hawthorne Memorial Center. Over 120 people registered to attend the event to celebrate mothers and their hard work.

The event was hosted by Councilmember Katrina Manning and Mayor Pro Tem Angie Reyes English.

Special Guests, Congresswoman Maxine Walters and Representative Ara An from Holly J. Mitchell's Office attended.

Best Mom Awards were presented to Aimee Yoshida, Alexis Philius, Herminia Balboa, Juanita Douse, Lisa Wilberg and Sonya Jewett.

Live entertainment was provided.
