The Hawthorne Historical Society held its annual Hall of Fame Induction Banquet on September 23, 2023.

The inductees honored included;

• Alice and Richard Huhn - community service since 1960
• Darvis Johnson - Senior Citizen Commission member
• Chips Restaurant - opened in 1957
• Victor's Market Co - established in 1951
• Rotary Club of LAX and Lennox - 97 years of service to Hawthorne

During the evening's events, the Hall of Fame Award and a Commendation from LA County Supervisor Holly J Michell's Office were presented to the inductees.
