Pro Skater & Hawthorne native Louie Lopez was recognized and given a Key to the City by Mayor Alex Vargas.

On December 23, 2023, Lopez hosted an event named a Day At The Park at Eucalyptus Park where he and his sponsors gifted a lot of skating prizes including boards and shoes. Plus, during the event he also held a Cash for Tricks competition for skateboarders to showoff their best tricks for a cash prizes.
