Alex Monteiro recognized the volunteers and organizers of the inaugural Junteenth Celebration at Holly Park Park on June 19, 2022.

Congresswoman Maxine Waters sent a Certificate of Recognition honoring the community event which was presented to the group.

The Holly Park Homeowners Association has held a Juneteenth pancake breakfast at the park for over ten years. This year, and in years to come, the goal is to grow the event,  bring communities together and educate the public as to why the event is celebrated.
