The first employee Good Neighbor award was presented by Human Resources Director Ericka Lampkin to Darnell Wallace.

The award is presented based on an employee's outstanding contribution in the work place and community involvement. Darnell has been with the City for over 32 years and works with youth on the Police hockey team. Other employees that were nominated were recognized with Certificates of Appreciation.

Mr. Lang donated his kidney to a friend in 2010 who had been on a waiting list for 7 years.

Mr. Lang spoke on the importance of becoming a donor and reported that there would be a Run/Walk fund raiser for Donate Life in April.
