West Basin Municipal Water District Turf Removal Rebates Raised to $3 Per Square Foot

The West Basin Municipal Water District (West Basin) has increased the current Turf Removal Incentive from $2 to $3 per square foot for qualifying residents in its service area, thanks to a $300,000 grant from the United States Bureau of Reclamation. The grant allows West Basin to add an additional dollar to the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD)'s $2 per square foot rebate, and provide even more water conservation incentives to the overall program in a cost-effective way.
