Hawthorne Accepts Applications for Cannabis Business Licenses

The City of Hawthorne has initiated the application process for Cannabis Business Licenses.  The City will accept applications from December 19, 2022, until January 19, 2023.  

 Reservations are recommended for applicants and those can be made through the city’s website.  All applications are due by 2 PM on January 19, 2023. Interested parties can refer to the application informational packet for submission instructions.

 Hawthorne City Council voted to adopt Ordinance No. 2235 on November 8, 2022, allowing commercial cannabis businesses to operate in the city.  The ordinance went into effect on December 8, 2022, and enables in-home cultivation as well as a maximum of 6 retail businesses and 8 delivery businesses within the city.
